Information Sheet for Employers

Dear Employer,

The Department of Employment in the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption aims to help immigrants find suitable employment.

For this reason, we turn to you.

If you are interested in absorbing immigrants in professional jobs, you can contact our office and provide exact information about your requirements, profession, specialization, age, etc, and we will try to provide you with suitable personnel that suits your needs.

For immigrants who are required to undergo any form of training in order to comply with your requirements, the possibility of financial assistance is given in the amount of NIS 1793 per month (half of the minimum wage salary) for a period not exceeding 6 months. (The amount is periodically updated in accordance with increases in minimum wage salary in the market).

This assistance is designed to provide a response to immigrants for whom a natural and suitable place of employment has been found and who are absorbed in a place of work that combines training and employment.

The assistance will be given to employment in the following professions:

 Practical engineers
 Technicians
 Artists and athletes
 Metal workers (welders, engravers, grinders)
 Carpenters
 Seamstresses
 Maintenance crew
 Hotel employees
 Electronic manufacturing employees
 Operators

The goal is to enable immigrants to acquire professional skills and experience on the job, thereby ensuring their professional absorption.

Persons entitled to assistance:

 Immigrants over the age of 18 – up to retirement age.
 Immigrants who have been in Israel up to 10 years from the date of aliyah (For Ethiopian immigrants – up to 15 years).
 Immigrants who did not receive assistance from this fund in the past.
 Immigrants who began working several months prior to submitting an application for assistance (up to 3 months, with the assistance being given from the day of the request onward).
 Immigrants who completed the Absorption Basket (from 6 months in Israel onward).
 Returning residents up to 2 years from the date of their return.

The assistance will be given after a decision is granted by the district committee of the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption and in accordance with the regulations.
